Worthing and District
Allotments and Gardens Association
Affiliated to the Royal Horticultural Society and
the National Vegetable Society
SPECIAL EVENT
The BBC TV personality John Trim is giving a talk
on vegetables to our association. John Trim? Surely you watched
the Great British Village Show which went out last year early on
Sunday evenings on BBC1. John was one of the 2 judges who climbed
ladders to measure sunflowers, passed shallots through a hoop and
generally explained to us, the viewers, what they were looking for
and why certain entries had won over others. He's a very knowledgeable,
entertaining speaker and a throughly nice bloke, very approachable
and you can ask him anything - well, about vegetables anyway.

John's illustrated talk is taking place on Friday,
9th May in the lecture theatre of Worthing library, scheduled to
run from 7.00pm until 9.00pm. We advise arriving no later than 6.45pm.
Tickets will go on sale to the general public but
are being offered to our association members first at the concessionary
rate of £3. To get yours either contact our Hon. Sec., Terry
Edwards direct or you can e-mail us here by just clicking on the
Contact us
button alongside. It would help us if you put the word Trim
in the subject line.
If you are not a member of the Worthing and District
Allotments and Gardens Association you can still apply for tickets
later or - perhaps a better idea - join now and make sure you get
your ticket. For details of how to join see our Membership page.
